  • “Heading To Maine, Bought A Waterfront Cottage On Grand Lake.”

The Outdoor Entertainment Of Being On A Maine Lake, The Ocean, Something Connected To Waterfront.
The Outdoor Entertainment Of Being On A Maine Lake, The Ocean, Something Connected To Waterfront.

If you owned a Maine waterfront property, wouldn’t getting excited about the next three day weekend stretched in to four days to be on an open deck over looking a lake be therapeutic, healthy?

To change up the scenery where you live now? Not to mention the advantages to owning a second home, a vacation place in Maine you could rent out carefully. Maybe you have been renting for the last few years. Think of the money someone has benefited from in your stay and you did not trash the place, make it look like a Stephen King movie was staged there.

Maine waterfront can mean property on the ocean, a lake, river, stream or pond. There is something about water like an open fire that attracts. Maybe it gives off positive ions like the blaze in the fireplace or outdoor pit you gaze in to. Detaching and catching up with yourself in your busy life.

Your kids splashing, fishing, learning to swim, sail and the nightly summer talks on the deck, grilled feasts are another reason. Maine waterfront is the best investment, the one you will have the most fun with. And appreciation?

Well, more than one person has smiled and uttered the observation that “they are not making any more Maine waterfront real estate.”

Your only homework is to figure out the monthly budget and to factor in if you owned a Maine waterfront property in this, this or this price range. You can do it and know years down the road will look back and kick yourself if you don’t. The time is right, here is an A-Z of properties in Maine, waterfront real estate from A-Z. And if this list does not quite do it, let us know your requirements, price range and I’ll tap in to our Maine MLS cookie car of ME waterfront real estate to help in the search. Here is an example of a place on 120 Butterfield Landing in Weston Maine for $159,900 with 110′ frontage on Grand Lake.

Or another spot, a video to watch on the Maine waterfront, 26 Sandy Beach Road, Danforth Maine. Or a Linneus Maine log lake home video.

Waterfront in Maine, lakeshore properties, you know it’s what the doctor ordered. To show down, smell the flowers, catch some fish, get new scenery and shake up your day to day routine. While you can.

  • Maine, Maybe That’s The Ringing You Hear In Your Head.

Bail Of Where You Live Now, Relocate To Northern Maine, And Watch Your Health, Attitude Improve.
Bail Of Where You Live Now, Relocate To Northern Maine, And Watch Your Health, Attitude Improve.

Time to move from where you live now to Maine.

If you have a ringing in your head that is not going away, and is getting louder, maybe if you listen closely you hear the distinct word “Maine”. If you can not sleep and the high pitch humming, ringing, buzzing, headaches and depression, mood swings, testiness, increasing state of anxiety is beyond a concern, maybe where you live is the reason for it all.

Maybe nothing medically is wrong, but geographical you are experiencing urban sprawl, over development. Or just live in fear of gangs, numbed by the news of non stop stories each night about kidnapping, drive by shootings, crime on the upswing.

Maine is the 4th lowest crime state. Aroostook County where I live is half of that pretty stellar crime statistic again.

Why? Simple. Way way less people, more open space and all around elbow room. You jam rats in a small area and step back, watch how they behave. Same dynamic. Or it’s like you become a bear living with one, or two many in tight quarters. Man, the machine was not designed for cities, tight spaces, a corosive or hostile environment.

Second reason for low crime, keys left in the vehicles parked in the yards is local Mainers work hard for all they have. They are proud of, brought up to respect the value of that hard work. The items you, anyone buy with that hard earned money and sacrifice. Don’t waste resources..yours, mine, anyone’s. Period. Basic, black and white pride of ownership, the way we roll. And not wanting to have someone trash your personal property and returning the same favor of leaving something not yours alone. Or even protecting it and getting involved if something does not look quite right at your neighbor’s down the road. Get a plate number, make a call. Even go up to the property, confronting the out of state vehicle at Mr Jone’s hunting camp with 100 acres to the south of you. We ask the guy what’s up, are you a friend of Mr Jone’s and hear the story, the yarn spun. See if his breathing increases, his eyes avoid contact with our own. Decide whether a call to the Maine state police or local sheriff, police department is in order. We have the neighbor out of state on cellular speed dial and the property owner appreciates the keeping a look out for something strange, out of place at their property.

Pretty hard to beat the natural four season beauty of Maine, the sense of personal safety and that your property won’t get tampered with, anything stolen after a break in.

So back to the ringing, the just not feeling your self these days. Get pure, real relief in Maine. Less noise of traffic, industry, more sounds of nature. Wind in the pines. Birds chirping happily on a sunshine rich day. Loons singing or crying depending on your perspective or their mood at the time on a Maine lake under a brilliant, intensed dotted black velvet fabric with more stars than you ever knew were overhead. What you have been missing due to all that light and air pollution where you call home now. The place that no longer is the neat little burg you moved to twenty years or more ago. Time to move, relocate.

Maine, that’s the voice in your head, the sound being made inside. The volume increasing between your ears because you body is unhappy you are just not taking the cue to vamoos.

Ask me about low cost Maine real estate on a lake, river for full or part time recreational use. Get healthy, get to Maine, the way life should be. Watch the Maine videos of local events and see what you are missing out on in so many ways, so many levels of your life.

  • Ever Hear A Kid Whine There’s Nothing To Do? Not A Maine Kid.

Spring Means Little Leaguers, Like The MOOERS REALTY Team Is Training, Dreaming, Learning.
Spring Means Little Leaguers, Like The MOOERS REALTY Team Is Training, Dreaming, Learning.

Boredom, not having fun, there’s nothing to do is not a condition Maine kids have for long.

Growing up if I had ever been bored, looking for something or anything to do, and my parents heard it…well on a farm, there is ALWAYS something to do. Time to do this, this or this.

Being idle and knowing how to relax is something folks that are “vacation” oriented are good at. Happy doing not much and leaning back, recharging, catching their wind. Smelling the flowers so to speak. Vocation oriented people, like most Mainers are, industrious and working harder for less but content, making ends meet. Keeping it simple. But relaxing does not come until the chores are done.

If you can teach a child how to be self sufficient, to not expect a hand out or free lunch, that is a major ingredient toward a happier life as an adult.

In Maine it’s if you want something, anything, work for it.

Concentrate, dream, work toward that goal is pretty simple. We learn it early, never deviate or get off that parh that is black and white, not hard to swallow when it’s been that way all your life. And your parents practice what they preach so to speak.

When the country is in turmoil over having to cut back on material things, having to have more and more “stuff” to be happy, Mainers watching that on television, reading about it in the news, on line in blogs, stratch their heads in disbelief. The happiness from hearing a cash register bell ring, carrying cargo you don’t really need to the mini-van from the mall is a habit less money just does not afford. And the ideal of whipping out plastic to make the purchases happen, one card after another during a drunken tour of store after store is ludicrous, foreign, unnecessary. During that spending spree and then realizing bills are coming with a high interest in 30 days…well it takes the fun out of shopping. Spending money you don’t have, paying the price with interest to get the creditors off your back is not how we roll, our idea of fun.

Making your life simpler and reducing what you spend, being careful with your purchases is how any Mainer was raised. From the time a child was ‘knee high to a grasshopper”, he or she saw parents working long hours for what they had. Taught to take care of what was bought. Shopping long, far and wide before letting go of any hard earned money. And our “fun” growing up, as adults was getting out in to the outdoors of Maine. Our “backyards” bordered wilderness unspoiled by man. Crystal clean Maine lakes, streams, rivers to be next to. Hiking places like Cadillac, Katahdin and using our many state parks like Baxter, Acadia. And never really thinking about how “spoiled” we were because of where we were. Picnics, little league games, bean suppers, working on local school, community events. Trips to the Maine ocean for fresh native lobsters, steamed class, a piece of blueberry pie. Making our own home made low budget, high value “fun” sparks creativity. Makes local populations feel more involved in their Maine communities. Because they are.

Maine. Hear a whisper, calling your name? That ringing in your ears is not a medical condition. It’s the need to get to Maine as often as you can. To get back to simple living, outdoor beauty, friendlier but way way fewer people. I can hook you up with someone I know that sells Maine real estate. (Smiling). No crime, no pollution, no taser, keys left in the car. Low cost Maine real estate with far less zero places. I am glad grew up here and had the chance to raise four super kids in Maine.

  • I Work In Sales, Deal With People, Like To Get Certain Real Estate Buyer Information.

It is good when a Maine real estate saleman is on the other end of the process.

Normally when a buyer for Maine property calls, I like to ask a few questions to get a handle on what the real estate need is. The buyer’s email address, phone number and address are important details to collect. In emails, we usually have all that data supplied and a list of property the buyer wants more details, to see the movie on, etc. But in the case of an office walk in, a caller, being able to at least get the email address is critical. To be able to follow up with the caller’s questions, property request is the whole reason I am here in Houlton Maine. New property that comes up is something this Maine real estate buyer is going to want a head’s up about. It’s called service. I am lucky to be a small real estate office so everything is live, local and not automation or with a call center out sourced halfway around the world.

I ordered a computer from Dell, a lap top and found trying to get customer follow up was hard. Very hard. It had had a 15% discount which prompted the purchase but the price reduction offered was not applied. To get the discount promised meant returning the lap top, ordering another just like it and then hoping the second time around the discount incentive sticks. Crazy way to do business? Sometimes bigger is not better and something gets lot in translation. Or one hand does not know what the other hand is doing. Nor do they care. Cookie cutter peddling of widgets. When you are a small David, you can run circles around Goliath. Not in every instance, but in many that count so that quickly situations are assessed, steps taken to implement the most efficient solution. Being small means flexibility is easy. Thinking on your feet and being able to talk to the person that knows what is going on, and can fix the problems is pretty refreshing.

Automation, waiting for a real live person, telling the story, getting transfered, waiting longer. To get the lowest price available means wading thru cyberspace up to your knees. Sometimes over your head. I am glad I work at a small, “you are talking to the boss”, the owner Maine real estate operation. When a Maine real estate buyer calls and ask do you know anything about this or this code number property. I smile and say yes. I took those pictures, that is me on that video taking you thru and around the real estate. The frustration when the buyer is talking to someone that has never seen the place, did not take the images. There is no video and very skimpy information for the caller. That is frustrating or a pleasant surprise when you are talking to the property who listed, marketed and will sell the Maine real estate listing.

If you are looking for a retirement Maine home to buy, or recreational land, a small mom & pop business, I can help you out. Northern Maine real estate is so much lower priced. The selection so much healthier so you get a good real estate fit. I have sold Maine real estate for thirty years this April. And instead of thinking real estate salesmanship, I have always thought just being a real estate locator is a better way to go.

If you start by listening to what the real estate buyer is looking for. What they have for needs and wants /don’t wants then you know their special unique situation. I suggest real estate listings that could meet that laundry list of desires and what to avoid within their real estate budget. The property sells itself. It is the puzzle piece that fits, is missing, is wanted or looked for. Maine real estate sellers also have special needs, desires and want a one on one communication with the real estate broker. No automation, quick access to the person that is going to list, market and sell the most important investment, the largest purchase the seller has ever made. The caller does not want to wait for a part time real estate agent. The buyer or seller of real estate’s time is just as important as yours and mine. • Making Video To Showcase Maine.

My real job is to list, market, sell Maine real estate. But in the process of doing blogs, videos, advertising efforts for real estate, making community videos also becomes part of the process to put the spotlight on in my case, Houlton Maine.   Video can be a mix of stills like maps, graphics and say summer pictures of a property listed in the winter to forego a second video being needed. Today there is still snow on the ground, March 28th so any videos in the next two weeks rather than delay production will use stills from a time

Capture the local color of the area in making Maine real estate and community videos.
Capture the local color of the area in making Maine real estate and community videos.

without snow, with green grass and flowers hopefully if we can scan and weave them into the video for each property we do.

We also do not just show the property building only, but the road in, the area. We want to capture the birds singing, the loons, the wind in the pines.  Hit all the senses..we have five, not just eye sight to take it all in or experience with. And lastly, unlike many areas where all a broker does is sell homes, homes, homes, in Maine our office sells land, waterfront, farms, businesses and basically the area too with community video. Here’s a 100 acres and Maine cabin video over 3000 sets of eyeballs have scanned and that you can consider if you want to be off the beaten path! It’s asking price $79,900.
